Laser-Cut Map - Rectangular
Perhaps it was where you first met your significant other? Maybe your honeymoon destination? Or that family vacation that you still all talk about?
Cherish that memory with our larger laser-cut map of any city or town.
This is just like our standard 11" x 11" map - only larger! We begin the process by capturing the location of your choice via Google Maps and passing it on to our talented graphic artists to prepare it for the laser. Once the layers have been cut, we begin the assembly stage, carried out by hand over the course of a few days (don't worry, this includes a fair bit of waiting for glues and paints to dry).
Once fully assembled, we inspect it and then inspect it again. Only then are we proud to pass it on to you to cherish!
Personalize your map
Any location is possible and the map can be customized in many ways, truly created just for you.
Color of the water on your map |
The 'water' layer can be colored to your specification and if you can't find the color you wish, simply message us before or after placing your order and we will ensure you get exactly what you want. |
Frame |
The frame is available in maple, cherry, walnut, or mahogany. The edge of the frame is painted in the same color that you select for the water. The frame is then finished with a mineral oil/beeswax coating to provide a sleek look while offering some protection. We will provide care instructions along with your map. |
Pinpoint an exact location |
As with many things on your map, the choice is yours whether to pinpoint an exact location within your chosen city/town. Personal engraved message on the back |
A custom message can be engraved onto the back of the map. There is no charge for this (up to 100 characters). Add your message above in the " Would you like a message engraved on the back?" field before checking out. |
Displaying your map
The map can easily be displayed on a wall in your home and we recommend using Command Picture Hanging Strips. These strips will have no trouble holding the weight of the map and the strips will not damage your wall or the back of the map - please ensure you follow the instructions provided on the pack. These strips can be found at most large stores such as Walmart and online from Amazon.
Alternatively, we find an easel makes for perfect displaying of any of our maps. You can find easels in your local art supply store. We also offer the easel seen in the images of our maps for just $12.
Map dimensions
Depending on your preference the map can be either landscape or portrait. The finished product is rectangular with one side measuring 11" and the other between 14" to 17" - depending on the area you wish. It is made up of a total of 4 layers of plywood.
